I was originally going to wait until my current film projects bore some rough footage, before putting up a video section.
However, as I continue working on these projects, I am keeping a foot in the door of casino game art, so as keep some a certain flow of ca$h coming in. Gotta eat yo!
And in doing so, because my name does not ring out in the industry as the go-to guy for casino game art and animation…ALTHOUGH IT DAMN WELL SHOULD BE!!! ;-)…it only makes sense to have a casino demo reel to show potential employers.
Soooooo, I have finally put up a video section, containing my casino reel.
I was hesitant as first. For one thing, most if not all of the work in this casino reel can be drastically improved on.
But more so, I still have a bad taste in my mouth from the manner in which I parted ways with my former employer. The last thing I wanted to put up on my site is work that would touch on these feelings. But life goes on, you live and you learn, gotta suck it up and get over it, blah blah blah…bills gotta be paid.
I still very much plan on improving this reel, as experiences during my former career are touched upon in my current (film) writings. So the footage seen will be improved on, revisited and remixed with new animations, relating to the films in development.
But for now, it is just a straightforward reel.
Additionally, I have also included footage from an intro sequence I worked on for Hip Hop Eh – a documentary on Canadian hip hop, produced and directed by Joseph Klymkiw.
No hesitation to show this work though! This doc is definitely worth checking out.
